SMOKY MISO STOUT BURGER

Burgers are as American as apple pie. Sometimes its fun to switch it up a bit — for this one we’re adding some flare with our Japanese-inspired Miso BBQ, Napa cabbage, smoked gouda, caramelized onions and the depth of a warm, creamy stout.

This #newmouthadventure with the pairing of Interboro’s Panther Like a Panther and Just+Add Beer Smoky Japanese Miso BBQ does not disappoint. Interboro’s light bodied, deep chocolate brew with roasty aromas and slight hoppy tang sets off the molasses and the miso in our sauce to flood your mouth with flavor.

TIP: There are three ways to coat this burger for a savory flavor you won’t soon forget: In the meat, sauteed with the onions and drizzled on top.

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup Just Add Beer Japanese Miso BBQ
1/4 cup Interboro Panther Like a Panther or Your Favorite Stout
1 pound Ground Beef
1/2 pound Bacon
2-4 Brioche Buns
¼ pound Sliced Smoked Gouda
2 small Onions (to caramelize)
1/4  Napa Cabbage Shredded
Salt and Pepper to taste

STEP 1: CHOOSE SAUCE

Measure 1/2 cup Just Add Beer Japanese Miso BBQ.

STEP 2: JUST ADD BEER

Crack open your Interboro Panther Like a Panther or your favorite Stout, take a sip and then pour 1/4 cup and add to sauce.

 

STEP 3: SIP ‘N COOK

Place ground beef in a bowl and add 2 tablespoons of sauce mix to season meat. Mix thoroughly.

Now, take a sip of your Interboro Panther Like a Panther and then take a sheet pan, place bacon in oven at 400 degrees for 8-12 minutes, glazing once or twice with sauce mixture.

In a large skillet, arrange ground beef patties and spoon a tablespoon of sauce mixture onto each, coating evenly and cook on medium heat to desired temperature (well done, medium, medium rare, etc., ).

STEP 4: GARNISH

Once bacon and burgers are done, cut buns and slice cabbage and set aside. Slice onions and caramelize in the same pan used for cooking ground beef patties.

STEP 5: EAT & DRINK

Build your burger(s) with cheese, sauce mix, cabbage, caramelized onions, ground beef, bacon and finish off with sauce. Pour the rest of your Interboro Panther Like a Panther or a freshie, add some chips and dive in!
